We're pleased to offer the following services at South Panola Veterinary Hospital
Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our hospital is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. If possible, it is best to call before coming in so that our staff can prepare for your emergency. We provide the following services to keep your pet happy and healthy:
Preventive Health Care Programs: including wellness examinations, vaccinations, dental services, parasite control, nutritional counseling, and geriatric health care programs.
General Medicine. Our experienced doctor diagnoses and treats minor and complicated medical cases and diseases.
Dentistry: Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, tooth extractions, and minor oral surgery.
Diagnostic Services: Our hospital is equipped with a state of the art in-house laboratory, x-ray and ultrasound.
Anesthesia: We utilize safe anesthetic protocols that provide an extra margin of safety, especially for our older or high-risk patients. We have staff with training in patient care, anesthesia, pain control and dentistry. The patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.
Laboratory: Our in-house laboratory facilities provide for serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized tests and consultations.
Pharmacy: We maintain an extensive inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, shampoos, heartworm preventatives and flea and tick products to meet the needs of your pet.
Nutrition and Dietary Counseling: We provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight management and performance.
Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the management of behavioral problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling, separation anxiety and aggression.
Grooming: We have a professional groomer on staff Monday through Friday to keep your pets pampered and pretty. We also provide bathing services Monday through Saturday. (on Wednesdays and Saturdays, pets must come in early as clinic closes at noon)
Boarding: We provide boarding services for all pets. Our boarding patients are monitored twice daily, fed Science Diet food and are walked and exercised several times per day. All boarding patients must come in and be released during regular hospital hours. We also provide "day care services" when an overnight stay is not required.

South Panola Veterinary Hospital offers litter packages, plus discounted services to senior citizens, and local area rescue groups. Pre-approval is required to qualify for the rescue group discounts, please call us for more information.
